We're Moving!

We're Moving!

Not the farm, just the store. Ever since we started this venture, both Spring Hill and Havin Hills have worked out of makeshift farm stores. On Havin Hills that means a room on the side of a machine shed. On Spring Hill that means a four-season porch in the house. This is... inconvenient at best. We've made do, but we have longed for a single, functional store with room for freezers and everything in one place.

It finally happened! In late October, Amber and Logan (owners of Havin Hills where all the delicious beef and turkey is raised) closed on a building in Ridgeland, WI. Ridgeland is a tiny town with big features. It has multiple industries, a feed mill, cafes, a quilt shop, a fantastic corner store called Coate's Corner (seriously you must visit - it's a mini grocery store with hot food and baked goods and the nicest owner you can imagine).

Ridgeland also used to have a vet clinic, and unfortunately it closed. This was a big loss to the community and honestly, we wish it was still operating. But life moves forward and the former vet clinic is the new home of Four Harvest Farm Company.

Four Harvest Farm Company is an idea that's bigger than any individual farm, and believe me we have big dreams. We are creating a storefront where we will sell our pasture-raised meat, and we'll work with other farmers to sell their products, too. This building will also be our shipping center, which means a much smoother, less stressful process every week. Of note, we are taking a two-week shipping break while we set up the store and a new shipping workflow, and will resume shipping on Tuesday December 6.

The storefront opens Saturday November 26. Our hours will be every Saturday from 9 to 2. As we grow we plan to offer more hours, but every Saturday is a start.

We hope to see you there!

Switching from fresh to frozen meat is a big change, but it makes life so much easier. Meal planning is simple and flexible when the main dish is ready and waiting in your freezer.
