Why Four Harvest Farm Company?
Four Harvest started as two farms - Havin Hills Rolling Acres and Spring Hill Family Farm - working together. In the beginning, our purpose was to sell our meat together so customers could pick up farm-raised meats in one place rather than going to one farm for beef and turkey and another farm for pork and chicken. Over time we realized the potential for something bigger than two farms. We want shopping from the farm to be as easy and accessible as shopping at the grocery store, and we want other local farmers to be able to sell their products. In October 2022, Amber and Logan of Havin Hills bought a building in Ridgeland, and we decided to open a storefront. It was finally time to create a shared name, so Four Harvest Farm Company was born.
Why Four? There are four of us (Stephen and Marissa, Logan and Amber), four seasons that impact all we do, four species of livestock, and four ways to harvest food.
We harvest meat from the animals we raise.
We harvest other animal foods like milk, eggs, and honey.
We harvest grains and other crops from the seeds we plant each year.
We harvest food from trees, grass, and other plants that, with tending, grow year after year.
We’re a company of farmers, working together to help you get dinner on the table.
